Privacy Policy

Alpho ("Alpho," "we," "us") is a daily devotional app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built Alpho to be a quiet, trustworthy place for your faith life, and we treat what you share with it accordingly: we do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and basic profile details such as your display name and chosen denomination or tradition.
- Content you share. Alpho stores content you create in the app, such as struggles you submit for guidance, journal or reflection entries, prayer requests, favorites, and practice check-ins.
- Usage information. We keep records needed to make features work, such as streak history, growth journey progress, and which daily content you have received.
- Purchase status. We receive confirmation of your subscription status (for example, whether your trial or subscription is active) so the app can unlock premium features. We never receive or store your payment card details — all billing is handled by Apple.
How we use your information
- To provide the app: your daily content, streaks, favorites, journal, and community features.
- To generate guidance: when you submit a struggle or similar request, the text you share is processed by a third-party artificial intelligence provider in order to select relevant Scripture and generate a supportive response. This content is used to serve you within the app and is not used to advertise to you or sold to anyone.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service, and to respond when you contact us for support.
Where your data lives
Your account and app data are stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Struggle submissions and similar content are transmitted to our AI provider solely to generate your guidance. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own advertising purposes.
Community prayer wall
Prayer requests shared to the community are displayed anonymously — other users do not see your name, email, or profile information alongside your request. Please still avoid including details in a request that could identify you or someone else.
Subscriptions and payments
Alpho Premium is billed through your Apple ID. Apple processes all payments, trials, renewals, refunds, and cancellations; we never see your payment details. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device's subscription settings.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account from within the app, or by emailing us at help@alpho.app. Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data — including your profile, struggles, journal entries, favorites, streaks, and prayer content. Anonymous community posts may be removed or retained in anonymized form. Deleting your account does not cancel an active Apple subscription; cancel it in your device settings.
Children's privacy
Alpho is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at help@alpho.app and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password for your account.
Your choices
- You can edit your profile and preferences in the app.
- You can delete individual content you have created, or delete your account entirely.
- You can contact us at any time about your data at help@alpho.app.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Alpho after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
